- Separate the shoes from lace and Provide sound Buffer
Washing shoes can get messy sometimes hence the need to protect the shoe from getting snagged in the washing machine. Also, washing shoes in a washing machine can also be very noisy. To protect your shoes, place shoe in a washing bag (if you don’t have one, a pillow case will do just fine); to protect your ear, throw in towels into the washing machine alongside the shoes. This will help reduce the banging noise of the shoes on the washing drum.
Prepare Your Machine
Avoid using warm water to wash your shoes so you don’t damage or fade the colour of your shoe (especially coated shoes like synthetic leather PU and PVC). You can introduce a good colour friendly detergent into the machine now (one cap is enough). Add your towels first before adding your shoes into the washing drum.
Air drying is the best way to dry your shoe. If you put the shoe in a tumble dryer, the heat can melt the shoe gum and cause the fabric to break. Introduce the shoe to sunlight and put crunched newspapers into the face of the shoe to help absorb the moisture and keep the shoe from losing its shape in the heat. You can now enjoy a fresh shoe once again with little effort but an outstanding result.

HOW TO WASH SMELLING SHOES
Do you come home late at night with smelly and dirty shoes and worry about the stain becoming tougher to wash in the morning? Do you want to get rid of that offensive odour from your shoe? This one is for you.
Sprinkle approximately 3 spoons full of baking soda on each shoe that night and leave it there till morning. Baking soda will help to deodorize the shoes and keep them smelling fresh. Once the day breaks you can remove it and get ready to wash.
Prepare the shoe for washing by removing the shoe laces from all the shoes to avoid them from tangling and for a penetrable wash of the entire corners of the shoe. Remove the laces and put them inside a pillowcase or wash bag to prevent them from getting tangled. Use a brush to wipe off the mud layers from the shoe fabric and sole of the shoe.
Add about 7 to 8 towels into the washer to serve as buffer to the banging of the shoes to the washer walls. Add your Shoes to the washer now.
Wash for 30 to 40 minutes (depending on your washing machine) with water of about 30 degrees and liquid detergent (powder detergents might get stuck inside the shoe) that is colour friendly.
Remove shoes from the washing machine and air dry them outside.
HOW TO GET THE BEST CLEAN
- Baking Soda will keep the shoe smelling fresh as it is a powerful deodorant.
- Use a wash bag or a pillow case to separate the shoe laces from the shoes to avoid tangling.
- Use a brush to scrape away all dirt from your shoe before putting it in the washer.
