  1. Create your profile by entering your business details under Settings > Business Settings > Profile. Make sure you accurately enter details like your business name, address, contact details, etc.

After creating your business profile on WhatsApp Business, it is time to set up the app. The WhatsApp Business app offers smart messaging tools which can help you simplify things and save you some precious time. You can set up automated Greeting, Away Messages, and also Quick Replies for your customers.

How to Setup WhatsApp for Business:

  1. To set up these messaging tools, simply go to Settings > Business Settings and check the messaging options available there.
  2. You will see three available options: Away message, Greeting message, and Quick replies. You can set each of these depending on your requirements.
  3. You can set up an automated away message when you’re unable to reply to your customers. You can also set it up to send the away message at all times, on a customized schedule, or outside of business hours. A greeting message is sent out automatically when a customer messages you for the first time or after 14 days of inactivity. For quick replies, you can set up a basic message, pick a shortcut, and select keywords (optional). These come in handy when you’re answering frequently asked questions, or want to exchange pleasantries.

After setting up the WhatsApp Business app, it is time to use it effectively. WhatsApp Business can be used in several ways. It could be used to offer timely support to your customers or send them updates on your products and services. The possibilities of WhatsApp Business are almost endless.

  1. WhatsApp Business Labels for Conversations

One of the biggest things you’ll need to consider while using WhatsApp Business is differentiating between social friends and customers. WhatsApp Business feature includes a labeling feature that makes keeping track of your customers a walk in the park. All you will do is manually add all new customers to your contacts list, and also assign labels to your conversations. These are helpful while interacting with a large number of users.

You can set up labels for your customers and then label your chat conversations using them. For example, You may want to label a conversation as ‘new customer’. This way when your customer replies after some time you’ll still be able to make out who the person is.

To add a new label: Tap on the menu button on a chat conversation and tap New Label. Enter the text for the new label and tap on Save.
